Avs goalie Semyon Varlamov will miss two weeks with lower-body injury
Colorado Avalanche goalie Semyon Varlamov “Varly” is going to miss two weeks with a lower-body injury, according to Jared Bednar.
“He’s not ready”, Bednar told reporters. He also told reporters that hopefully, he’ll be ready by the All-Star Break. “The plan is to be cautious with him, and then turn him loose for the second half”.
Varlamov left the game against the Winnipeg Jets after feeling sore. The Avalanche turned to there backup goalie, Jonathan Bernier. Bernier earned the second star of the week after going 3-0-0. Bernier had a 1.60 goals-against average with a .957 save percentage. He defeated the Jets, Blue Jackets, and the Wild.
