Red-Hot Avs head to Toronto hoping to expand winning streak

The Colorado Avalanche are coming in looking to expand their nine-game winning streak while the Maple Leafs are trying to start a streak on Monday night in Toronto.

The Toronto Maple Leafs snapped their four-game losing streak against the Ottawa Senators with a 4-3 win.

The Colorado Avalanche won their last game 3-1 against the New York Rangers 3-1 to expand their winning streak to nine games.

The last time the Maple Leafs and Avalanche both played each other was December 29th. The Avs won that game 4-3 in overtime thanks to J. T. Compher. That was the beginning of the Avs’ 9 game winning streak.

Avalanche center Nathan Mackinnon is the player to watch in today’s game. He has scored a goal in five-straight games and is looking to expand his point streak to nine games.

Make sure you watch the game on Altitude 2 at 5:00 pm MST.
