Patriots to the Pit of Misery – Eagles top Pats to win Super Bowl 52
Minneapolis, Minnesota– Finally. The New England Patriots lost. The Philadelphia Eagles top the New England Patriots 41-33 in Super Bowl 52 to capture their first ever Super Bowl title.
Tom Brady and Co. still put up over 600 yards of total offense and still found a way to lose. Former back up QB, and current starter for the Eagles, Nick Foles, took home this year’s Super Bowl MVP honors as he accounted for four total TD’s including three passing TD’s as well as one receiving TD.
The win for Philly sent all of America, but especially Philadelphia, into a frenzy, as Philly fans took to the streets and set fire to the streets as well as jumping off buildings to express their happiness for their beloved Eagles.
Due to their victory over the Pats on the biggest stage, rumor has it that KD is headed to Philly in order to join the Eagles, because he couldn’t pass down the opportunity to sign with a team that beat the Patriots.
Ok while that’s not entirely true, Twitter never forgets and doesn’t hold back, so be careful what you say or do (looking at you Le’veon Bell).
Philadelphia looks to build off of this successful season in the future, as they have their young QB Carson Wentz back for next season after returning from an ACL injury late in the regular season. Some Eagles fans are already predicting a dynasty which is a bit premature, but hey when you’ve actually won something, you can say whatever you want.
The Eagles win is also 100% approved by 76ers Center Joel Embiid, as he was at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, MN for the game to support his Eagles. Embiid further stated that he will work for the 76ers to be next in line to win a championship in Philadelphia.
Philadelphia is already burning to the ground as we speak, but if the 76ers win the title sometime soon, then the entire city may be a pile of ashes in a matter of minutes.
Better luck next year, New England. For now, you will have take a private tour of the Pit of Misery
