Allen Hurns Signing Moves the Cowboys One Step Closer Towards a Super Bowl
Cowboys Nation has awakened from a usually dormant offseason slumber to see that good ole Jerry Jones has finally made a move!
Jerry decided to pull out that huge wallet he has and sign a player that is sure to make an impact for the Cowboys next season. Jerry signed Allen Hurns to a 2yr/$12M, which is a great deal for the Cowboys!
Allen Hurns is a Wide Reciever with good speed, good hands, and good size that will fit nicely into the depleted receiver core we have. Dez is not the same Dez as before, Jason Witten is getting to slow to be an elite TE, and Cole Beasley is not a true WR 1 threat. With Hurns, he offers more than just a band-aid… He offers a real solution that can help transform the Cowboys from a fringe playoff contender to actually fighting for a spot in the Super Bowl. While there are still other holes that we need to plug, Hurns is a great start.
Here is a look at the kind of player Hurns has been throughout his NFL career
As you can see he is a solid NFL receiver that has had the injury bug bite him one too many times. In the 2016 and 2017, he only played in 21 out of the 36 regular season games. While in 2015, he played in all 16 games and had a 1000+ yard season with 10 TDs. Hurns with healthy will be the threat the Cowboys are desperately searching for.
Yes, Hurns is a major grab on the Cowboys quest back to the domination of the NFC East and the entire NFL and he is not the only thing we need. There are plenty of holes we must fill, but this is a great start, to say the least!
Allen Hurns welcome to Cowboys Nation.
