A Quarter into the MLB season Observations and Predictions

We are currently at the quarter mark of the MLB season right now and to this moment right now, there are plenty of interesting things that are going on. So, here are some predictions and observations for the season.

Dodgers will not be making it to the Postseason

Currently, the Dodgers stand at fourth in the NL West behind the Giants, Rockies, and D-Backs. Majority of the struggles is because of injuries. Clayton Kershaw, Justin Turner, Corey Seager, and more. Cody Ballinger is struggling and to make it worse, their pitching is not performing. I certainly did not expect this.

Phillies are the surprise team this Year

Last year, we had multiple surprise teams in the MLB. This year, we only have one and that team is the Philadelphia Phillies. The Phillies signed Jake Arrieta and is proving that was a good fit for this team. Carlos Santana was a good signing for them as well. The Phillies could clinch a wild-card spot but not the NL East.

The Yankees and the Red Sox are the best teams in the MLB

The Yankees and the Red Sox both had a huge offseason. The Yankees traded for Giancarlo Stanton while the Red Sox signed J.D. Martinez. Both teams will make the playoffs but may the best team win the AL East. If I had to choose one, I would choose the Boston Red Sox. Their team has more depth.

Playoffs Teams

After observing this season, I have the Red Sox, Indians, and the Astros winning their division in the American League. In the National League, I have the Nationals, Cubs, and Rockies winning their divisions. Then in the wild-card, the AL will have the Angels taking on the Yankees. Then in the NL, I have the D-Backs facing the Brewers.
